I can recall when themes of conscious rap ran rampant in hip hop music. Lyricists at their best, mixing their rhymes to topics on religion, aversion to violence, African American culture and advancement, the economy, or simple depictions of life in the projects/ghetto that reveal the struggle of ordinary people. Grandmaster Flash’s “The Message” was an early and hugely influential political and conscious hip hop track, decrying the poverty, violence, and dead-end lives of the black youth of the time. For the release of the 3rd official album Message of Hope, Eyewitness and Waterflow will be visiting the land of the north Norway on October 24Th.
The event titled Verdensfest is organized by One people Trust that released several albums that featured Wagëblë.
The concert will on the United nations day - “The purpose of the United Nations is to bring all nations of the world together to work for peace and development, based on the principles of justice, human dignity and the well-being of all people.” Read more

Eyewitness and Waterflow are the two lyricists who make up Wageble, and their third album will be dedicated to the future of their motherland- Africa?
The majority of "Message of Hope" was produced by the almighty Tom Roger aka Rumblin. Other beats were produced by Eyewitness who brought the heat and voice of their people to the album-title inspired track, Message of Hope.
He is the remarkable beat genius for their production company Nubian Spirit.

EyeWitness - La rencontre avec Water date de 1994 au Lycée Lamine Guèye dans un battle Hip Hop. On a rappé longtemps ensemble avant de créer un groupe 2 ans après avec deux autres Bugone et Membola, le 1er est actuellement aux USA tandis que l’autre est en France.

Sortie d’album : Wagëblë revient avec un message d’espoir
Les deux membres du groupe Wagëblë ont présenté à la presse leur dernier album. Cet opus titré « Message of Hope » traduit la philosophie du groupe, qui a du baver longuement avant d’en arriver à ce stade. Pape Moussa Lo et Mansour Kandji se sont mués, le temps de la rencontre avec les journalistes, en de véritables prêcheurs. Ils ont exhorté les jeunes à croire en eux-mêmes.
Les deux artistes qui vivent en Norvège depuis quelques années ont voulu revenir au bercail pour présenter ce dernier opus. Au cours de cette rencontre, ils sont largement revenus sur leur parcours qui a été plus que difficile. Issus du Ghetto de Thiaroye, ils ont trimé dur avant de pouvoir s’imposer sur la scène musicale. Read more

NOUVELLE PRODUCTION MUSICALE : Les rappeurs de Wa Gëblë d’avis que les jeunes n’ont pas besoin de Wade pour s’en sortir.
Cinq ans après leur dernier album, le groupe de rap sénégalais établi en Europe Wa Gëblë revient avec «Message of hope» (Message d’espoir), un opus de 15 titres qui sortira le 26 janvier prochain. Le message des deux rappeurs est un encouragement à la jeunesse qui doit travailler dur, croire en elle et se dire qu’elle n’a pas besoin du président pour réussir.
Revoilà le groupe de rap de Thiaroye Wa Gëblë qui, 5 ans après son dernier album (Sénégal en 2005), nous amène son troisième opus de 15 titres : «Message of hope» (Message d’espoir). Un produit qui sera disponible sur le marché le 26 janvier prochain. Wa Gëblë, qui signifie «Wax-Aduna-Gêddu-ëttu-Baatin-Lemu-ëlek» ou le lieu de rencontre d’un peuple où chacun discute des questions quotidiennes qui affectent sa vie, est comme une famille qui «compte transmettre au monde les valeurs essentielles de la vie pour un futur positif».
Établis à l’étranger (entre les Etats-Unis et la Suisse) ou ils suivent des cours au Conservatoire, Witness et Waterflow ont fait face à la presse, hier, au Just4U pour parler de ce message d’espoir et donner des conseils aux jeunes Sénégalais particulièrement et Africains généralement. Pour se faire comprendre, leurs messages sont en wolof, français et anglais et sont disponibles pour tous dans un style de mélange de Hip-hop, de poésie et de slam, basés sur des thèmes bien définis.

Wagëblë is back again with an unofficial tour titled Global Citizen. This will be the preparation of the released of Message of Hope. The release is projected for January 1st. In the meanwhile; we are getting busy kicking rhymes all over the world through this tour.
We will be in Switzerland, Maryland and Washington D.C. and more countries and city is coming up on the schedule as we kicking it.
